Project Overview :
Comprehensive rehabilitation with extension of a single-family home from 1938. From the letter G to A on the energy label
The project focuses on 3 main axes:
1. Structural consolidation using a laminated wood system, renovation of defective floors, renovation of the roof maximizing the useful surface.
2. Reorganization of uses and connection with the outside. On the ground floor – large living-dining-kitchen space that is connected by two large windows to the new porch. Re-building the lost indoor-outdoor connection.
3. Energy efficiency through the incorporation of passive solar gains and insulation of the envelope. At the installation level, a highly energy efficient @Nibe aerothermal system and a simple system of only 2 Daikin convectors have been chosen. Incorporation of a constant Zehnder ventilation system with HR allows for healthy air quality without the energy losses caused by daily opening of the windows.
