Appointment
We encourage you to contact us early in the planning stages of your construction project. Early involvement allows us to identify potential challenges that can be easily remedied, ensuring a smoother path to certification. Our team conducts an initial check at the start of your project to highlight any unique aspects and clarify how they will be assessed during the certification process. While certification can still be applied for after project completion, addressing these aspects early ensures a more efficient and effective process.
Design Review
As part of our services, we conduct a comprehensive preliminary review during the design phase of your project. This includes assessing the design concepts, insulation strategies, and building services to ensure they align with certification standards. We also verify the consistency of the Passive House Planning Package (PHPP) calculation with the certification criteria, providing you with a clear path toward successful certification.
Construction Review
We provide a second review ideally before construction begins to ensure flawless on-site implementation. For this stage, we require all energy-relevant planning documents, technical data for construction products, and the complete Passive House Planning Package (PHPP) calculation. This thorough assessment allows us to confirm that the planned energy standards will be achieved, ensuring your project meets certification criteria with confidence.
As-built Assessment
Our service includes a final review after the completion of construction. During this stage, we update any changes made to the planning and verify proof of the completed construction work. This ensures that the execution aligns with the certification requirements and confirms that your project meets the intended energy standards.
Certification
Once all criteria have been successfully fulfilled, the building owner will receive the official certification along with a supplementary booklet containing detailed documentation of the energy balance calculations and all relevant characteristic values of the building. Additionally, a wall plaque will be provided to showcase the achievement. Each certified building is assigned a unique identification number issued by the Passive House Institute, ensuring the authenticity of the certification.
