Project Overview :

CASA VONA is the first certified Passivhaus Plus detached single-family dwelling (completely self-sufficient) throughout the Mediterranean area. In addition, it is the first Passivhaus plus building certified new work executed in timber frame throughout Spain. The building is a Passivhaus reference center of the Spanish Mediterranean area and demonstrates that the Passivhaus standard is also applicable in hot and humid climates.
It is respectful with the environment, sustainable and bioclimatic, executed with recycled and recyclable materials and uses the most advanced construction and technological techniques.
The isolated typology allows for the opening and shading according to the necessary orientation. The house is accessed through a perimeter porch that prevents overheating. The main rooms, living / dining room and bedrooms, open to the garden with their openings from floor to ceiling. In the opposite orientation, the humid rooms are separated by the structure.
